Happy Thoughts is a wellness messaging service operated by Johnathon Wright (sole proprietor). Contact: jw@mustmodify.com.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect only your name and email address. If you later choose text messaging on your preferences page, we also collect your mobile phone number and store a record of your SMS opt-in consent (a timestamp captured when you select the Text option). Choosing a messaging channel is optional and never required to have an account.

How we use it

Your information is used solely to deliver affirmations, inspirational quotes, and inspirational images via email and text message. We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any secondary purpose.

Third-party services

We use Twilio to send text messages and Mailgun to send email. Your contact information is shared with these providers strictly so they can deliver messages you have consented to receive — never for marketing or any other purpose.

What we don’t do

• We do not sell your information.
• Mobile information (including phone numbers and the fact of your SMS opt-in) is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers are shared only with Twilio strictly for the purpose of delivering messages you have consented to receive.
• We do not share your information with third parties for marketing.
• We do not track you across other websites.
• We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

SMS-specific disclosures

• Message frequency varies — up to one message per day.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to any text message to opt out at any time.
• Reply HELP for help.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. Records of consent (timestamp, the fact that you opted in) are retained as long as the account exists so we can demonstrate that consent was obtained. If you delete your account or request deletion (see below), all personal information is removed within 30 days, except for any minimal records we are required to retain by law.

Security

Data is stored on a private encrypted volume hosted by Fly.io. Access is restricted to the operator. The site is served over HTTPS only. Account login uses one-time magic links sent to your email rather than reusable passwords.

Opting out and deleting your data

Reply STOP to any text message to immediately stop receiving SMS — Twilio handles this automatically and your phone number is suppressed. To delete your account entirely (name, email, phone number, consent record), email jw@mustmodify.com and we will remove your record within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in any material way, we will update the “Last updated” date above and notify active recipients by email at least 30 days before the change takes effect.
